Sweet Destructor

Sweet Destructor is Evie Englezos, eternal, universal energy which is currently taking the form of a mortal human. Inside their work are meditations, reflections and spells to do with our moment on earth and this natural world, the limitless iterations of beauty, death and humankind's desire to cheat it, past and future histories, ancient and recent mythologies, the joy of creation and the necessity of destruction. You know, the regular stuff. Evie is bringing plenty of ceramics in their signature style, some new large platters and experimental vessels, exciting collaborative pieces, and a selection of homegoods from their collaboration with West Elm.

Atropos Curios

Inspired by the natural curiosity assemblages of the Victorian Naturalists and the Wildlife Halls of modern science museums, Jess creates sculptures and illustrations to inspire wonder, curiosity, and understanding for our natural world. Each piece is a reminder of the beauty that lies in death, and its importance in the cycle of life, interweaving science and magic together as a way to help us better relate to nature. Jess lives and works in Denver, CO. She is an artist, a practitioner of folk magic, and a lifelong student of natural science. Most of her time is spent creating, studying, teaching, searching for antique treasures, and enjoying life with her partner, cats, plants, and various invertebrate friends. She finds herself existing equally in the worlds of art, magic, and science, and is constantly looking for a way to blend the three disciplines and inspire others to find the liminal space in which these lines are blurred. www.atroposcurios.com Alt IG: @atropos_illustration

Josh Martin & Kasey Burmood Collab

Josh Martin and Bob Rodriguez are local tattooers to Kansas City, they will be tattooing select flash designs on December 20th themed around some of the more folklore, and darker aspects of the holiday season.  First come first serve!

This collaboration of Kasey’s metal chainmail techniques and Josh’s bright colored ceramics highlight the juxtaposition in their styles. This clash of color, design and material lead to a feeling of 90’s nostalgia packaged in an elevated accessory.  Kasey’s work holds strong and sharp silhouettes with high contrast chrome elements, while Josh’s uncanny bold subjects and bright colors bring whimsy to the pieces.  Metal and ceramic, color and darkness coalesce in this jewelry collaboration.  joshmartinart.com
