{ BUTTERFLIES 101 WORKSHOP }

We are offering a really great class next month and you don't want to miss out!!

BUTTERFLY FRAMING WORKSHOP - OCTOBER 10, 4-6PM & 17, 5-6PM

Our butterfly framing class is broken up into two dates, the first of which will introduce you to the basics of spreading and preserving your own butterfly specimen! We provide two butterflies, a lovely wooden frame with glass for presentation, as well as all of the tools required - just bring yourself! Professional instruction and hands-on demonstrations for re-hydrating, posing and preserving your butterfly will be provided during the first class installment. One week later, we meet again to learn framing and display techniques for your butterfly and you leave the class with a specimen that your spread, posed and framed yourself! 

The first class will meet at Oracle KC, Saturday October 10 from 4-6pm. Our second workshop installment will meet at the same location, Saturday October 17 from 5-6pm. Oracle KC is located in the Crossroads Art District, 130 West 18th Street, KCMO 64108.

{ CYANOTAROT }

We are super excited to be carrying Mark Allen's CYANOTAROT prints in the shop! These beautiful works feature Allen's original photography rendered through a process called 'cyanotype', a hand painted emulsion which gives the image a rich blue hue. Each print depicts an archetype of the Tarot deck and they are stunners! This limited edition comes in two different sizes - they are unique, gorgeous and available for purchase - don't miss out!

Oracle is offering some really fantastic workshops over the next couple of months and we want to give y'all a heads up about it first because they fill up fast! We love education here at Oracle and we aim to promote an appreciation for natural science and visual art. Our classes provide professional instruction and high quality materials so that our customers achieve new skills - and get to leave the shop with a custom piece of their very own! 

We also like FUN TIMES and will be hosting scheduled numerology happy hours and tarot readings each month, so we encourage you to come join our excellent community of weirdos!

{ Numerology Happy Hour! }

We are having our first ever Numerology Happy Hour on Tuesday, September 8 from 4:00-6:00 pm! Our resident Potions Master, Carrie Parker will be offering numerology readings during the Hour of Happy! Bring your friends, It's going to be fun, y'all - come say hi, have a refreshment and get your *numerology on!

*But what IS numerology, you may be asking (it's okay, I had to ask too)?

Well, Numerology is the study of numbers and the occult manner in which they reflect certain aptitudes and character tendencies as part of the greater, cosmic plan. The sum of the numbers in your birth date and the sum value derived from the letters in your birth name provide particular vibrations. Similarly, each phonetic letter has a numeric value that provides a related cosmic vibration. All of these numbers combine to reveal a great deal about a person's character, purpose in life, what motivates them and where their talents may lie. 

In short, it's another way to gain some self-introspection - which I find always washes down a little easier with cocktails and friends!

To mark our two year anniversary of being open for business, we are having a little shin-dig this Saturday, August 29 from 2pm-5pm! We will have refreshments and will adorn your phalanges with henna for $15!
